Dallas County’s baseball game against Demopolis Friday was canceled due to inclement weather.

The Dallas County Hornets baseball team lost to the Maplesville Red Devils Tuesday 14-0 at home. In five innings, the Hornets struck out 10 times and only reached base on a walk in the first inning. The Hornets were retired in three batters in all but one of the five innings.

After holding Maplesville scoreless through two innings, the Red Devils scored seven second inning runs. Maplesville added another run in the fourth inning, and put six more on the board in the fifth inning.

The Hornets have a doubleheader scheduled Thursday at Demopolis.
