Mrs. Bessie M. Porter, 92, of Selma, passed away March 23, 2016, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for April 1 at 1 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist with the Rev. John W. Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. She is survived by one son, Jesse Porter; four daughters, Ola Wilson, Elvira Simpson, Jessie Watts and Laura Sabra; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; and special friend, Eudora Moore. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
