Joan Tarleton Deason, age 89, of Selma, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arland Elijah Deason.

She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Johnson (Kent); grandchildren, Katie, Bo and Eli Johnson; and a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn ReAnne Johnson.

A private burial was held at Pineview Memory Gardens, officiated by Dr. Ed Eaton, and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
