TUSCALOOSA —The Morgan Senators girls’ soccer team lost to the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights 9-2 Thursday at Tuscaloosa. The girls had the game tied 2-2 early, but Tuscaloosa pulled away late. Heavy rain caused the game to be delayed briefly, and the game was eventually called with seven minutes remaining.
Tuscaloosa 4, Morgan 0 (boys)
The Morgan boys’ soccer team lost to Tuscaloosa 4-0 in a game that only lasted one half.
The field was almost entirely covered in water, and head coach Jay Minter elected to concede the rest of the game at halftime to avoid injuries.
