Willie Joe Sanders, 82, a resident of Selma, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sara Mann Sanders; parents, Paul and Bessie Sanders; brother, William Floyd Sanders.

He is survived by two sons, Danny (Peggy) Sanders of Dadeville and David (Valerie) Sanders of Prattville; two daughters, Joan (Toby) Cox of Prattville and Courtney Sanders of Selma; seven grandchildren, Mickey Sanders, Misty Sanders, Amy (Adam) Keenum, Toni (Travis) Tyus, Dustin (Amy) Cox, Hunter Sanders and Madesyn Sanders; 13 great-grandchildren, Alicia (Michael) Holley, Mykal Kain Sanders, Noel Sanders, Melanie Sanders, Gavin Sanders, Dylan Smith, Sunni Smith, Dawson Sanders, Luke Keenum, Lakyn Keenum, Trev Tyus, Tate Tyus and Ansley Cox.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 1 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Linville Funeral Home in Tallassee. Burial will follow at Carrville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Special thanks to Lake Martin Hospice.
