Let your voice be heard by heading to the polls

Today is the day. Alabamians will head to the polls to decide the future of the country. The Presidential race has been pure entertainment, which isn’t necessarily a good thing.
However, there are also local elections that will have an impact on the direction of our county, particularly the courts.
Voters will decide local races for district attorney and judicial circuit court judge. There are also county commission races that will be decided today.
We hope everyone comes out and votes today. The right to vote should never be taken for granted, especially in Selma, where so many fought so everyone could have a chance to participate in the democratic process.
So come out, support your candidate and let your voice be heard.
Results will be updated live as they come in to the Dallas County Courthouse online tonight at selmatimesjournal.com and we will also have full coverage in Wednesday’s paper.
