James Roy Carter passed away Feb. 27, 2016, at the age of 63. He was born May 3, 1951, to the late John Roy and Bela Elizabeth Smith Carter.

He is survived by his brother, John Randall; sister, Debra E. Carter; sisters-in-law, Donna Carter and Angelia Varner; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Carter-Golson Family Cemetery with Sam Lunnard officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
