For the past 23 years, Advanced Disposal Site Manager Joseph Fail has made it its duty to keep Selma clean and looking its best.
For his hard work, the Selma resident was honored as the company’s Employee of the Year last week at a banquet in Orlando, Florida.
The banquet was held at Disney Yacht and Beach Club and attended by more than 350 people, including district and regional managers.
“I got to accomplish many goals. I have been able to do a lot for the community as a whole. It has been an extraordinary experience,” Fail said. “I really enjoy what I do.“
Fail said that it is his passion to go above and beyond and that is why he was chosen for the award.
Fails received a plaque and a trophy. He was previously honored as Employee if the Month in April 2015, which made him eligible for yearly honor.
Advanced Disposal General Manager Herman Kitchens said the hard work that Fail has displayed over the years is what made writing his recommendation letter for the nomination so easy.
“Joseph is one of the most dependable and honest employees that I have ever managed. He has a passion for doing his job and going above and beyond in every aspect,” Kitchens said.
The selection process for Employee of the Year starts at the Jacksonville, Florida home office of Advanced Disposal. Recommendations were submitted to the district manager who sends it to the regional office. Nominations are sent then to corporate and a committee deliberates who is chosen for the award.
