Chester Wayne Sheffield Sr. passed away January 4, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester O’Neal Sheffield; grandparents, Ernest and Bernice Jackson and Murphy and Beatrice Sheffield.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Jackson; wife, Gloria Sheffield; children, Chester Wayne (Beverly Middleton) Sheffield Jr., Joshua Wade (Susan) Sheffield, Krystal (Daniel) Vice, Aaron Michael Ray Sheffield; grandchildren, Marina Faye Sheffield, Brantley Wade Sheffield, William Blake Griffin, Richard Brodey Middleton, Sofia Vice and Caden Vice; sisters, Alice (Ricky) East and Betty (Chris Smith) Compton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with pastor Tom Stricklin officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home between 1-1:45 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Evin Wood, Daniel Vice, Wade Mott, Dillon Summers, Cameron Compton, Scott Bridgman, Chris Smith and Ricky East.
