STJ welcomes Enfinger, Vance to staff

The Selma Times-Journal announced the addition of Chelsea Vance and Emily Enfinger to the newspaper’s editorial staff.

Vance is a native of Detroit, Michigan who moved to Orrville over a decade ago and attended Keith High School. In college, she attended Alabama State University and obtained a degree in journalism.

“I believe that The Selma Times-Journal is the perfect place for me to get all of the necessary skills under my belt and apply them to a long-term career in journalism,” Vance said.

Enfinger is originally from Grand Bay and studied fine arts at Auburn University, with a concentration on photography. She previously worked at The Auburn Plainsman as photo editor and served as a freelance photographer for the Opelika-Auburn News.

“I couldn’t have picked a better place to start a new chapter in my life and to develop my skills as a journalist,” Enfinger said.

Vance and Enfinger will work as staff writers covering news and sports in the Selma and Dallas County area.

“I’m glad to welcome Chelsea and Emily to our staff and look forward to the stories they will help tell in the weeks ahead,” said Times-Journal editor Justin Averette.
