McEachern promoted to Edmundite president and CEO

Chad McEachern, former executive director of Edmundite Missions, has been named as the organization‘s president and CEO.

The announcement was made at a recent meeting of Southern Missions Inc.

In making the announcement, the Rev. Brian J. Cummings, chair of the board of directors of SMI, said the appointment “reflects Chad’s hard work and dedication to the ministry and charism of the Edmundite Community.”

In his new position, he will continue to raise critically needed funds to sustain outreach efforts for the poor and develop strategies to feed, clothe, shelter and educate the needy in the Deep South.

McEachern received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, and pursued theological studies at Saint Bonaventure University in New York and Washington Theological Union in D.C. He recently earned a certificate in Catholic Non-Profit Management and Leadership from Notre Dame University.

“I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by the Southern Missions,” Mr. McEachern said. “I hope this position will enable me to open new doors of hope and opportunity, so the missions can be even more effective in serving God’s children with the greatest needs.”
