Selma native and U.S. Rep. Terri A. Sewell will host a second annual Congressional Veterans Resource Fair next month.
This year’s event will be Friday, Dec. 11 at the Marengo County Business Development Center in Linden.
During the event, veterans and their families will have the opportunity to speak with organizations providing assistance with issues like VA benefits, Choice Card Eligibility, health screenings, housing options, mental health services, the Justice Center, women’s services, career services and much more.
“I am proud to host our second annual Veterans Resource Fair. I remain committed to expanding the scope of services provided each year to adequately address the various challenges facing our service men and women when they return home,” Sewell said. “Bringing these resources to our local veterans is a small way of thanking them for their selfless service to this nation.”
The fair will last from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Marengo County Business Development Center is located at 2400 E. Coates Ave. in Linden.
