He is survived by his son, Daniel E. Phillips (Donna); son, John Steven Phillips (Nancy); daughter, Susan Phillips Meredith (Michael); eight grandchildren, Foster Phillips (Janet), Matthew Phillips (Roberta), Hannah Phillips, Elizabeth Phillips, Brett Burnell (Erin) and Allison LeCoq (Daniel); and eight great-grandchildren, Foster Phillips, Oliver Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Walter Phillips, Russell Phillips, Margaret Burnell and Hallie Burnell.
There will be a funeral mass held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, followed by graveside services at 11 a.m. at the New Live Oak Cemetery with father Richard Myhalyk officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Frank was a great father, happy grandfather, WWII veteran, proud patriot (member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion), a devout Catholic, a loyal Elk, serving as a longstanding member and past Exhausted Ruler of B.P.O.E 167. He was stubbornly independent, considerate of others, a Braves fan and he always had a very sharp and quick wit which he displayed much to our delight and chagrin right until the end.
