Frances Bolen Crocker

Frances Bolen Crocker, age 101, of Thomaston, died Sept. 26, 2015, at her home.

She was born July 8, 1914, in Magnolia. She was a school teacher for 47 years and was a member of Thomaston Baptist Church.

She is survived by two nieces, Sherer B. Averette and Joyce B. Colburn; three nephews, Paul (Mary) Hester, Thomas (Mary) Bolen Jr., and George (Debbie) Bolen Jr.; three great nieces, Teresa C. Pope, Annesia C. Miller, and Cathy Nelson; and two great nephews, Jonathan Averette and the Rev. Edward Bolen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buwic Crocker; her parents, Thomas Edward and Lillie England Bolen; two brothers, Thomas Wade Bolen Sr. and George Edward Bolen; and her sister, Sophia Nell Bolen.

Visitation will be held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Burial will be in the Thomaston Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Thomas I. Pope IV, Jason G. Miller, Tristan J. Miller, Thomas Miller, Jonathan T. Averette and James Crocker Etheredge. Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Comfort Care Hospice, and special friends, Mrs. Shelby Drake and Mrs. Clarice Etheredge.
