Ms. Shequita Q. Surles, 29, of Gary, Ind., formerly of Selma, passed away Aug. 21, 2015, in Gary, Ind.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Potters Place Church with bishop P.E. Bonner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Town Creek cemetery in Tyler with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

She is survived by her father, Edward Stubbs; stepfather, Napoleon Hamilton; brother, Derrick (Remegia) Surles; nephews, Derrick Surles Jr., Anthony Marsh, Jontavius Surles and Martavius Surles; two sisters, Tawalnda Surles, Shamika Surles; nieces, Jalaya Surles, Jeskira Wilkins, Der’Riah Surles, Ahveyunna Surles, Ahrmonie Surles and Porsheonna Bennett; and a host of cousins and friends.
