A restaurant known for its home cooked meals has opened a second restaurant to feed its customers.
A grand opening for the new All in One on the Bypass Restaurant, located at 999 Cecil Jackson Bypass, will be held today at noon. The eatery’s other restaurant named All in One is still located on the campus of Wallace Community College Selma.
Since 2000, the business has been serving up home cooked meals to the citizens of Selma.
“We serve home cooked food. Some people call it soul food,” said owner Laurine Pettway. “We try to be nutritious when it comes to the way we prepare our food. We want a good taste, but we don’t want all the excess pork and stuff in our food.”
Mouth-watering menu items include fried chicken, catfish, tilapia, greens and much more. The restaurant operates on a day-to-day menu and meal plan.
Pettway said the restaurant’s goal is to serve the Selma-Dallas County area, and those who pass through the region.
“Our aim is to meet the needs and serve the people of Selma with great, delicious and wholesome food,” she said.
Great taste and hospitality is what makes the business a thriving restaurant, Pettway said.
“The food is great,” she said. “The atmosphere is wonderful, and we try to greet people, and accommodate them with a smile. That’s our trademark.”
The grand opening will be held at the restaurant from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. All menu items will be half off during the grand opening.
The restaurant is open seven days a week for several meals.
