Margaret Forehand Privett, 100 years and six months of age, passed away in her sleep on December 15, 2014, in Houston, Texas.
She was born on June 17, 1914, in El Centro, Calif. to Cora Lee and Roy F. Beery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Brooks Forehand and Hugh Mallory Privett; brother, Joe A. Beery; sister, Helen Borders; brother, Roy F. Beery; and her daughter, Missy Pardoe.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Lee Buchanan and her husband Ron and Beppy Deaton and her husband Al; step-son, Hugh Mallory Privett Jr. and his wife Margaret; step-daughter, Sue Whatley; step-son, William Bahen Privett and his wife Pam; and 19 grandchildren.
In 1965, Marge married Hugh Mallory Privett, a prominent businessman, former president of the city council and life long resident of Selma. They enjoyed 27 years of marriage.
Marge will be remembered for her loyal dedication to and love for her family and friends.
We will miss her strength of character, her laughter and her noble bearing in her difficult years.
