After reviewing city, county and state graduation rates, we’re proud to report that results are soaring high.
Selma High, the only public high school in Selma, reached a rate of 80 percent in 2014, exceeding 2013’s 67 percent rate. While Dallas County high schools increased to an overall 92 percent overall after its 2013 high school graduation rate of 73 percent.
When it comes to all Alabama public high schools, the 2014 rate is 86 percent, a new high for the schools after averaging at 80 percent in 2013.
With education so instrumental to success, we’re proud to learn more students are earning their high school diploma.
We hope that these systems continue to target the issues that lead students to dropout, and help the rate reach an all time high of 100 percent.
