Helen Ruth Cooper, 63 of Selma, Alabama died on October 27, 2014 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Novemeber 1, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Tabernacle Of Praise with burial following at Fairlawn Cemetery. Directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by  her mother, Onzie Lee Cooper; her brother, Edward Cooper and two sisters, Bernetta Goodwin and Jessie Lee Strothers.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Wayne Cooper; three daughters, Antionette Cooper, Joyce Ann Davis and Tomeko Lashun Cooper; a brother, Soloman Cooper and a sister, Carolyn Lamar Cooper; five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, one brother-in-law and one sister-in- law
