Sheriff’s Department looking for person of interest

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday that it is searching for “a person of interest” allegedly connected to area property crimes.

Glentravious Olds, of Selma, has outstanding warrants for his arrest. He is a black male who is 5-foot-6 and weighs 160 pounds, said Sgt. Mike Granthum with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.

Glentravious Demectric Olds“He knows we are looking for him, and he’s been hiding,” Granthum said. “If we find out that anyone is assisting him from apprehension, they can also be charged with obstructing governmental operations or hindering prosecution.”

The department declined to comment on the details of the crimes he’s connected to, but said Olds is expected to be involved in at least four or five property crimes that occurred in the Craigfield and Old Montgomery Highway areas.

“We’re using all resources possible to get this guy to keep our community safe,” Granthum said. “We think he’s one of our bigger problems over there.”

The department said anyone with information concerning Olds, should call the department 874-2530 or Crimestoppers at 1-866-442-7463. Those who submit tips may receive up to $1,000 as a reward.
