Rebecca Christine Davis Baxley, age 70, of Selma, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014.

She was born December 24, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William Perkins “Perk Davis” and Rebecca Davis of Plantersville; daughter: Elizabeth Bronson of Selma, and nephew: David McDaniel.

Mrs. Baxley is survived by her husband of 53 years: Joe Baxley; daughter: Valinda Lea Baxley; grandson: Sean Baxley; sisters: Nina McDaniels of Selma; Jo Jones ( Johnny) of Pelham, Margaret Hayden of Clanton, Dave Hayden (Susan) of Clanton, Jon Hayden (Janan) of Montgomery; nieces: Kelly McDaniel of Selma, Rebecca Futral (Chris) of Dracula, GA, Johnna Stafford (Jeremy) of Florence, Jessica Sentrell (Chris) of Northport; plus many other family members.

She graduated from Dallas County High School in 1961 and graduated from Wallace College LPN program. She had many friends around the State of Alabama having lived in seven different cities in her lifetime. Good friend and pastor of Westwood Baptist Church Dr. Edward Eaton will conduct the service.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice and Southland Nursing Home for their tender loving care and support and to all others who supported and prayed for her.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Graveside services will ne at Plantersville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
