Ruth Grimes Carr, 84, a native of Alabama, died August 7, 2014 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mrs. Carr was born September 21, 1929 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  She is preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Ruth Grimes, her husband, Robert Howell Carr, Jr and her daughter, Louise Carr Elmore.  Survivors include her sons Robert H. Carr, III and David Grimes Carr; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Luckett Carr; sons-in law John R. Clark, Jr. And Julian A. Elmore, Jr.; one grandson, Robert H. Carr, IV, three granddaughters; Casey Scarborough Carr and husband Vincent Trevellini, Kathryn Winslett Carr and husband Michael Thelin, Elizabeth Sterling Elmore, and two great-grandsons. Her family would like to thank the caregivers of Saint James Place, Saint Margaret Hospice service and Crossing Hospice of Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society.  A.
