Leonard “L.C.” Crocker

Leonard “L.C.” Crocker, born June 30, 1924 to the late Leonard and Fannie Crocker, passed away August 4, 2014 at the age of 90.

L.C. retired from the State of Alabama ABC Board as an agent after serving in the United States Navy in WWII aboard ship LST957. He was also the last surviving member of the 1964-1965 Dallas County Sherriff’s Department. He was adored by his children, grandchildren and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Dees Crocker, two sisters and a brother.

He is survived by his son, Len (Donna) Crocker; daughter, Donna (Tim Windsor) Tippett; grandsons, Austin Crocker and Ricky Crocker and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Smith officiating, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and another from 10:00-10:45 at the church, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and friends.
