Henry Jerome Sims, Sr., age 92, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Maxine Chambers Sims; brothers, Lloyd Sims and Walter Lee Sims; sisters, Lois Glasscock, Delene McMickens, Margaret Hodgens and Bobie LeDue

He is survived by his son, Jerry (Mary Ann) Sims; daughter, Tina (Ira) Blanchard; brother, James Melvin Sims; sisters, Helen Satterwhite and Doris Ellison; grandchildren, Brad Latham, Joshua (Patty) Latham, Rebecca Latham, Lindy (Kyle) Bengtson and Taylor Sims; great grandchildren Bailee Bengtson and Abby Bengtson.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Ira Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in New Live Oak cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
