Mrs. Marie S. Mitchell, 88, resident of Selma, passed away June 26, 2014 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her children: Earlene (Michael) Chamblee of Tucson, AZ., Mary (James) Mitchell-Sadler of Lathrup Village, MI., Emma McDaniel of Tacoma, WA., Erskine Mitchell and Madeline Mitchell of Selma, AL; eight grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie M. Nixon of Mobile, AL., and Claudia Vincent of Cleveland, OH., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 4, 2014 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home. Final viewing will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Good Hope Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1:00pm, officiated by Rev. John L. Ward. Burial will follow immediately in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery directed by J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home.
