James Young, age 77, of Selma, Alabama passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.

Mr. Young is preceded by his daughter: Melissa Gay Young; brothers: Leroy Young, Dalanor Young, Ruby Young, Earnest Young, Howard Young, and Oscar Young.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Elizabeth Young; daughters, Janet Young, Linda (Joe) Rosamond; son, Stephen Mark (Angie) Young; brother, Glen Earl (Betty) Young; sister, Faye Shadwon; grandchildren, Toni (Greg) Rollan, Kelly Young, James Keith McCloud, Timothy Endfinger, Melissa (Eddie) Wilson, Stephanie McCloud and great grandchildren, Melissa Rollan, Lauren Rollan, Gracie Endfinger, Alana Guyon and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2014. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
