Karen Pierson Simmons of Plantersville, Alabama passed away June 1, 2014 at the age of 74.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Will Pierson; father, William Watson Pierson and granddaughter, Kristina Marie McElroy.

She is survived by her husband, Bennie E. Simmons, Sr.; children, Ben (Julie) Simmons, Kathy (Bobby) Weber and Kristie (Ronnie) McElroy; grandchildren, Henry, Melaine and Drake Weber, Ashley, Jarren, Jacob, Jaxon and Joshua Addison, Kendall, David, Clifton and baby Smith, Kelly and Ware Cox, Kevin Simmons, Ryan and Kody McElroy; sister, Edith Pierson; nephew, David Pierson and Great-Nephew, Devin Pierson.

Visitation will be at Plantersville Christian Church Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Church Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Randy Simmons, Doug Smith, Jr., Mike Smith, Tracy Hobson, Richard Trammel, Jim Garret, Nelson Andrews, and Robbie King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Martin, Bill Martin, Noddie Carroll, Bobby O’Neal, Stan Franklin, Jerry Simmons, Charles Simmons, Billy Joe Simmons, Keith Simmons, Tommy Hobson and Fred Hobson, Jr.
