Experience makes a difference, especially when it’s 24 years.

Tammy King is no newcomer to the Dallas County Tax Collector’s Office. In her time as tax collector, King developed several practices that transformed paying taxes from an arduous process into a relatively easy transaction that’s difficult to miss.

Perhaps a taxpayer is out of town and unable to travel back to Dallas County in time to pay taxes. Instead, he or she can log onto Dallas County’s website, search for his or her unpaid property and pay taxes without ever leaving his or her desk chair.

King also calls taxpayers to remind them of upcoming deadlines, as to prevent missed payments and perhaps even a tax sale.

Multiple payment methods are also accepted in person at her office.

Unfortunately, dozens miss payments each year, but King’s proactive and customer minded tactics are a proactive step for Dallas County property owners.
