Times-Journal editor Tim Reeves said the two are a continuation of a mission the newspaper has in working with state and regional universities.

“In the past four years we have had the chance to have some of the brightest journalism students work with us for their required internships,” Reeves said. “This year is no exception. Both Scottie and Christopher come highly recommended by the faculty at their respective schools, and we are thrilled to have them here.”

Brown and Edmunds will work as reporters for the Times-Journal for the length of their internships, which will continue through late July.

“These two are tremendously talented and have a bright future in this industry,” Reeves said.
