Ms. Merriet Cook, 93, resident of Selma, passed away April 9, 2014 at ark Place Nursing Home.  A memorial service will be held April 16, 2014 in New Orleans, LA. directed by Randall Miller Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by spouse Vincent Cook; brothers, Clarence Tropez Jr. and Maxwell Tropez; sister, Jessie Walker.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon (Eva) Cook and Vincent Cook; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
