John Claude “J.C.” Green, 83, resident of Selma, passed away March 12, 2014 at Vaughan Regional Medical. Services will be held Thursday 1:00 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise officiated by Rev. Glenn King. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service.

He is preceded in death by spouse, Nettie Green; mother, Betty Lewis; sons, Felix Barron and J.C. Green, Jr.; brother, William Green; sisters, Ethel Griffin and Jessie Starks.

Survivors include sons Howard Barron (Clementine), Willie Green (Catherine), and Bobby Green, all of Selma; daughters, Ethel Green, Mary Brown (James), Betty Patterson, Fannie Bailey, and Betsy Green all of Selma; eighteen grandchildren, a very dedicated grandson, Demond Martin; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
