Town & Country Real Estate will host a Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours March 18 where they’ll welcome the business community into their offices at 406 Dallas Avenue from 5-6:30 p.m.
Sheryl Smedley, Executive Director of the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce, said there are many benefits to hosting a Business After Hours.
“It is a great opportunity to build new relationships. It allows you to step out of your comfort zone and reach out to introduce yourself to people you do not know,” Smedley said. “People like to do business with people they know.”
Smedley said a Business After Hours is like an open house for your business. Business professionals and others are able to come together, mingle and get to know each other. Typically the business will have the event catered with hors d’oeuvres and adult beverages.
The Chamber works with the member business to help coordinate the Business After Hours, which includes setup and sending invitations to the Chamber’s membership. Smedley said the Chamber works with its membership to try and have at least one Business After Hours every three months.
