Selma residents won’t have to travel to New York or sit at home alone to watch Super Bowl 48 between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks.

The St. James Hotel will have a Super Bowl party at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event is free to the public.

The party, hosted by Aaron’s rental, will include several TV screens. The bar and kitchen will also be open for refreshments.

Aaron’s General Manager Keno Leflore said the event is for residents to have a place to watch the game.

“We have been doing some events for some of the more important football games this year, like the Iron Bowl and the National Championship,” Leflore said. “We want to keep things going in the city of Selma and at the St. James Hotel.”
