The No. 2 ranked Dallas County Hornets stayed perfect in area play with a 74-42 win over Holtville Tuesday night.
Jerrod Moorer scored 40 points for the Hornets in the game and Javaris McGuire added 11 points.
Dallas County head coach Willie Moore said his team didn’t play up to its full capabilities in the victory.
“We just weren’t very focused on the defensive end,” Moore said. “It seems like we aren’t playing really good team basketball right now.”
Raheem Phillps had five points, eight assists and five turnovers in the game for the Hornets.
The Hornets were without forward William Lee for the second consecutive game, after Lee went down with a facial fracture in a game against Childersburg last week.
