One of Alabama’s sitting U.S. Senators will visit Dallas County Tuesday to help increase job creation in the nation.
U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) is meeting with employees Jan. 21 at Hanil E-Hwa Interior Systems in Selma at 10 a.m. as a part of his Alabama Jobs and Industry Tour, in which he will visit a business in each of Alabama’s 67 counties.
“Job creation must be our top priority as a nation, and it will be the focus of my statewide travel,” Shelby stated in press release about the visit. “It is critical that I hear firsthand from job creators and workers how federal policies are affecting economic growth, and what we can do to create more jobs in Alabama.”
According to the press release, Shelby has made more than 18,000 county visits since his first in U.S. Senate in 1987. His visit to Hanil E-Haw Interior Systems, which is located at 200 Craig Industrial Drive, will mark the 1,821st visit to an Alabama county of his career, the press release stated.
He said his visits across the state give him a better understanding of how he should vote before the Senate.
“These conversations with my constituents have always played a critical role in informing how I vote on issues before the Senate, and I look forward to traveling throughout the state again this year.”
