Two Valley Grande residents are in jail after allegedly hanging a dog from the ceiling by its neck and posting pictures on Facebook.

Cardine Dunnam, 26, 745 Dallas County 63 and Chase Parrish, 23, 745 Dallas County 63, were arrested Friday and charged with animal cruelty. Both suspects were released on a $500 bond.

Law enforcement officials found out about the incident after Dunnam posted a picture of a black puppy hanging from the ceiling on her Facebook page. The pictures received negative comments and Dunnam fired back.

“If you have a problem with my personal … page delete me,” she wrote

Investigators obtained a search warrant after seeing the picture and rescued the dog. It is currently being cared for by the Selma Animal hospital.
