The Southside Panthers used a big night from Jevon Hall Thursday to defeat Straughn 54-49.

Hall scored 25 points and added five steals and Jhalandius Sullivan scored 10 points to help the Panthers get a much needed victory. Isaiah Coleman also scored seven points and added 12 rebounds for the Panthers.

Southside travels to Dallas County Saturday night. In the team’s first meeting of the year, the Hornets defeated the Panthers 59-24.
