Mrs. Della R. Strong, 71, resident of Selma, passed away December 12, 2013 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services will be held December 21, 2013 at Lily Grove Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Michael Dillard. Burial will follow next to church, 57 County Road 257 directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

She was preceded in death by husband, James Strong; parents, Irby Washington and Lillie Irby; six sons, Timothy Irby, Kerald, Marc Strong, Calvin Strong, James Strong Jr.; special grandson, Jeremy Irby; four daughters, Ava Garner, Pamela Robinson, Barbara Marshall Strong, and Mary Jean Strong; brother, Arthur Irby; sister, Mary Irby; thirty seven grandchildren, seventeen grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, three daughters-in-laws, two brothers-in-laws, three sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews; aunt, Mittie Duncan. Pallbearers will be deacons.
