The History Channel show “American Pickers” will film a portion of its 6th season in Alabama and perhaps Selma.

The show is beginning to collect leads on large collections of items, according to a news release.

“Our favorite picks feature multiple buildings crammed with piles of cool stuff,” the release said.

The show is looking for motor scooters, old advertising sings, vintage motorcycles,

bicycles, old toys, taxidermy and civil war antiques.

“We’re also looking for movie and music memorabilia, sports memorabilia, western items and basically any other oddball, one-of-a-kind, or interesting historical item you can think of,” The release said.

Spokesperson Sarah Moore was unable give specific dates on when or if the show would travel through Selma. She said an American Pickers appearance depends on leads from local residents.

Selma residents interested should email AmericanPickers@Cineflix.com or call (646) 493-2184.
