Margaret Agnes Hughes Hanning

Margaret Agnes Hughes Hanning, 91, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at The Manor at Westminster Towers. A native of Graniteville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. George T. Hughes and wife of the late Charles A. Hanning. She was a homemaker in Spartanburg, SC until her relocation to Rock Hill in 2004. Prior to her marriage, she attended Spartanburg Methodist College and was employed at Belk Hudson. She was a longstanding member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she served in various programs and was a member of the Loyalty Sunday School Class.

Surviving are daughters, Margaret Hanning Bryant (Mike) of Franklin, TN and Jo Ann Hanning Herron (Randy) of Rock Hill, SC; sons, Charles A. Hanning III (Kim) of Savannah, GA and John Thomas Hanning (Tamara) of Selma, AL; sister, Edna Hughes Boswell (Rhett) of Evans, GA; sister-in-law, Doris Jean Hughes of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Kary Bryant Wolfe (Brad) of Birmingham, AL, Victoria Jean Herron of Rock Hill, SC and Lori Ann Mallard (Brandon) of Rincon, GA; grandsons, Bradley Yale Bryant (Carolyn) of Brandon, MS, James Wesley Bryant of Franklin, TN, Arthur Bain Gleason Hanning of Selma, AL, Alexander Paul Herron of Rock Hill, SC and David Greg Morrison (Becky) of Norcross, GA; great-grandsons, Rexford James and Lucas Bryant Wolfe of Birmingham, AL, Wesley James and Jackson Julian Bryant of Brandon, MS and Brody Hughes Mallard of Rincon, GA.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, in the church parlor of Bethel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols and the Rev. Jane D. Jenkins. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
