The Keith Lady Bears coasted to a 51-29 win over the R.C. Hatch Lady Bobcats Tuesday.

The Lady Bears scored 34 first-half points and never looked back. Harriet Winchester led Keith in points, scoring 14 of her 16 total points in the first half.

Lady Bears coach Cecil Williams didn’t have much to complain about after the game. Williams said his team moved the ball well and gave up few second-chance points.

“We do need to work on our conditioning,” he said. “We also need to make our free throws when it comes down to crunch time.

The game got off to a slow start. Keith didn’t score until four minutes left in the first quarter, but once the Bears started start scoring they started scoring in bunches.

The Lady Bears finished the first quarter on a 10-0 scoring run and scored 13 points, without a miss, in the first half’s final minutes. Keith improved to 1-1 on the season.
