Ms. Mattie Phillips, 94, resident of Selma, passed away November 10, 2013 at Orchard Healthcare, Hayneville, AL. Services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013, 12:00 noon at Little Rock Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Samuel Wilson. Burial will follow in New Shiloh Cemetery, Sardis, AL directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.
Survivors include six sons, Willie James Calhoun, Ernest L. Calhoun, Elder Henry Calhoun, Johnny Calhoun, Johnny Calhoun, Ronald Strowder, and Donald Strowder; one daughter, Lula Mae Banks; twenty nine grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, five daughters-in-laws, a devoted cousin Synethia Holyfield.
