Evalyn Sherry Ames Ware, 88, of Selma passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Ames Ware Ellis (Paul); grandchildren, Sherry Chandler Chunn (Matthew) and William Marion Chandler III (Brittany); great grandchild, Robert Parker Chunn; special friend, Cliffa Simmons; and Reed Lawley Ellis. Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her husband, James Nunn Ware; and son, Robert Young Ware. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery in Birmingham, AL with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Central Alabama Humane Society, 206 Medical Center Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701.
