“Josh is an extremely talented young journalist. We are thrilled he decided to come to Selma and join the Times-Journal,” Reeves said. “In the months since graduating college, he worked for our sister newspaper in Natchez, Miss., producing some tremendous work.”

Bergeron has spent the first few days in Selma getting settled.

“I’m excited to come to Selma to explore a city that is steeped in history,” Bergeron said. “I’m especially excited to tell the stories of the people who live in the Dallas County area thorough stories and photos.

“I have learned a tremendous amount about journalism since graduating, but am excited to continue growing and learning more.”
