Shirley York Steele,57, resident of Selma, AL, passed away August 21, 2013 in Selma. Services will be held August 31, 2013, 12:00 noon at East Salem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Willie Brown. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse Leon Steele; two sons, Kendarious Goodlow and Daniel Barnett, Selma, AL; two daughters, Sharonda Goodlow and Latoya Barnett; two brothers, Johnny Smiley and Luzell Sanders; one sister, Cora (Marvin) Wilson, Selma, AL; two brothers-in-laws, three sisters-in-laws, several nieces and nephews; special nephew, John Young; special niece, Brenda Dukes. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
