Extension to offer ‘Eating Smart – Being Active’

The Dallas County Extension Office’s, EFNEP and NEP Programs is offering a six-week educational program, “Eating Smart – Being Active” which will target families with school-aged children; the focus is on reducing childhood obesity.

There will be two weekly sessions available for you to attend. Tuesday’s Sessions will begin on Tuesday, July 9 and conclude on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Thursday’s sessions will begin on Thursday, July 11 and conclude on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Both sessions will be held at the Dallas County Extension Office, located at 429 Lauderdale St., from 10-11 a.m.

Space is limited to 12 participants per session and there is no charge to participate.

Incentives for participating will be given and recipes and food samples will be available. For more information and to register, call the Dallas County Extension Office at 875-3200.
