Detectives with the Selma Police Department continue to search for a suspect tied to a Sunday morning shooting; a suspect known simply as “Mo.”
According to Selma Chief of Police William T. Riley, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Street at around 6 a.m. Sunday in reference to a gunshot victim.
“Once officers arrived, they found a black male, approximately 30 years old, who had been shot three times,” Riley said. “The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the right leg and one gunshot to the left leg, which was a prosthetic leg.”
Riley said the victim told investigators he and other people were standing around talking when a suspect — known to the victim as “Mo” — started shooting at them.
“The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery,” Riley said.
Riley said investigators are asking the community for any information that can help in identifying the suspect.
