Cynthia Elizabeth Fuller Barbour Callaway born November 22, 1932, of Brewton, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 7 at Covenant Hospice, Pensacola, Florida following a brief illness.

On Saturday December 22, a memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Brewton, followed with burial service held Selma, Alabama.

Mrs. Callaway was a native of Selma, Alabama. She was a graduate of Huntington College with bachelor’s degrees in Art and English. Mrs. Callaway was a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Selma and a new member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Brewton.

She is survived by her three daughters; Vivian Barbour Layton and husband Steven Royce Layton, Elizabeth Barbour Knowles and husband James David Knowles both of Brewton and Diane Burdine Barbour of Birmingham, and four grandchildren; Laura Elizabeth Layton of Washington, D.C., Emily Frances Layton of Brewton, and Robert Grace Knowles of Brewton, and Rachel Kinnard Knowles Stinson, and husband Allen Scott Stinson of Newnan, Georgia.

Mrs. Callaway was predeceased by her parents, Vivian Berenice May Fuller and William Potts Fuller of Selma, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials to be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (building preservation fund) Selma, Alabama, as well as St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Brewton, Alabama.
