Sunday morning accident kills one in Perry County

MARION — Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate a accident Sunday morning that claimed the life of a Marion woman.

According to a release from the Troopers, 30-year-old Staci Terese Wright was killed when the 2002 Infinity she was driving left highway and then overturned after striking a tree.

The accident, which happened around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, occurred five miles west of Marion on Perry County Road 48.

The release said Wright was reportedly not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Troopers said no other information on the accident was available, but added they are continuing to investigate.
