Shooting injures 1, another charged

A 37-year-old Hayneville man was arrested Monday following a Sunday morning incident that ended with one person being shot multiple times with shotgun pellets.
Officers with the Selma Police Department responded to a shooting with victim call on the 1700 block of Voeglin Avenue at approximately 3:08 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, police said they found a victim, whose name has not been released, with multiple shotgun pellet wounds.
Naedeon Rudolph, of 5841 U.S. Highway 80 East in Hayneville, was charged with one count of assault first degree, a Class B felony in Alabama, punishable with two to 20 years in state prison, and booked into the Dallas County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
Police are still investigating the cause of the shooting and said additional charges may be made following its completion.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Vaughan Regional Medical Center following the shooting, and has since been treated and released.
Rudolph has since been released on bond.
